Why a raise with no reason to build anything falls flat
Crowdfunding investors back what the money will build. A raise to keep the company going as it is has nothing to sell, and no ad budget fixes that.

The Reg CF 21-day rule, and when the money reaches you
A Reg CF issuer cannot get investor money until 21 days after its Form C goes public. The clock runs once, not on a rolling basis. Here is how it works.

What is SEC EDGAR, and who uses it in a crowdfunding raise?
EDGAR is the SEC's public filing system. Every Reg CF raise lives there, and issuers, portals, investors, regulators, and the press all read it.

Don't staff your raise from the people you already have
A raise staffed from the existing team is shaped by what that team can do. Start from what the raise needs, then fill each job with someone who has done it.

Raise velocity: why a raise sags in the middle, and how to keep spending
Raise velocity is the dollars per day a raise brings in. It is high at the open and the close and low in the middle. Plan for that shape and keep spending.

Should founders run their own Meta ads during a raise?
Usually not. A raise is the wrong place to learn Meta ads, and the founder's hours are worth more elsewhere. When doing it yourself works, and what to check.

How long does a crowdfunding raise take, from Day 0 to the close?
Plan on about 90 days before launch, then about three months live for a typical Reg CF raise. Reg A+ runs closer to ten months. Here is the calendar.

The Ghost Launch: why switching platforms won't fix an empty room

Is crowdfunding right for your company? Take the fanbase test
Equity crowdfunding pays off when a crowd of investors is worth more to you than their money. If a fanbase does nothing for you, raise somewhere else.

No. Same exemption. The plus is a market nickname for Regulation A after the JOBS Act expanded it, and the SEC never uses it.

Why most agencies are taking shots in the dark on your raise

Why paid advertising from your funding platform is a costly mistake
The platform earns a cut of what you raise and spends your budget to get it. A negative return on ad spend costs them nothing. That is the problem.
